Course Reflection

Image
Over the duration of this course I enjoyed all the topics and the majority of assignments. I found each artistic movement extremely interesting, and I enjoyed the challenge of analyzing works other than literature. I think that in each movement I learned something different, and honed my critical analysis skills. I found the pacing to be very balanced, although towards the end my own struggles with time management led to a bit of a landslide of work. This is obviously no fault of the course. I found the unique elements of each movement a great weekly source of challenge, working through each was entertaining as well. The layout of the course, especially the chronological nature makes everything easy to connect, and allows for each unit to flow into the next. Starting out, I wasn't sure if I could handle using all the different tools, such as Blogger, sites, padlet, and other infographic media tools. After the first week, though, it turned out to be very manageable, ...

ATAP as of Week 13

I managed to get caught up on all my analyzations, and I think my website came out fairly decent. I'm actually pretty proud of all the primary sources I found, and the message that develops across my website content. My word count may be a little under final quality, but I am legitimately proud of my results. I am not, however, proud of my own work ethic and time management. Two areas which I will need to work on in the future, and two areas where I failed on this project, leading to an outcome which under the circumstances I can be proud of, I am not proud of when considering the overall pacing of the course. ATAP as of Week 11

Although I got as far behind as I did, I still somehow found trouble getting myself into a successful working groove. I really need to put some work into self motivation and planning ahead. Other than those two facts, I have added two and a half more primary analyzations to my site, as well as a references page for all my images and secondary sources. ATAP as of Week 10

In my previous blog post I explained my situation, and this post will reflect most of the same sentiment as Week 9. I have fallen very behind on my work, and am now trying to catch myself up. I added two new primary sources to my site, which now includes an introduction page to fit the final requirements. I hope to complete a decent final product soon enough. ATAP as of Week 9 (Somewhat)

Image
This week, I foolishly let myself get extremely behind on my project. Most of my work has occurred in the last few days rather than weeks, which is to the fault of my sub par time management and motivation skills. I have updated all my old pieces to meet final requirements, and added two new primary source analyzations. I also completely redesigned the purpose of my project, as my old ideas were inadequate when considering the full scale of the project; it would not have been enough to create a final project's worth of content. ATAP as of Week 8

Image: Bulletin Board Laptop; Source: Pixabay      This week I continued planning out my site and began to return to previous work to update it to be final project material. I found this task to be somewhat difficult, as diving a layer deeper on some of my critical analysis pieces becomes very complex, and I had a little bit of trouble coming up with more things to say about a couple of the paintings. I think in the grand scheme of things, to me this is alright. I think that I will end up revisiting some of my pieces a couple more times to polish them up and make sure that they are ready before the final week, but that for now everything is in order and I am feeling good.

ATAP as of Week 7

This week I continued doing some setup on my site, as well as adding my Post-Modernism analysis to the list. I found it helpful to write out all the requirements for the project, including word counts required for each assignment alongside the word count that I have actually written. I think that next week since there will be less work for blog posts and feedback, I will start to go back and revise my critical analysis pieces to match the project requirements. Other than that, I'm feeling pretty good on my work so far, and hope to stay on track with decent time management. Image: Question; Source: Pixabay
